Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I need to bring my insurance card to every visit?
A: Yes, your insurance card is needed to keep your account up to date and accurate.

Q: Will I need a referral if the doctor sends my child to see a specialist?
A: Each insurance policy has different requirements. Please contact your insurance company for more information. If your insurance plan requires a referral, you may call our office to request this.

Q: What if I am going to be late for my appointment?
A: We request that you plan to arrive 5 - 10 minutes before your appointment, so that your child is in the room and ready for the provider for the scheduled appointment time. Please contact our office if you are going to be late or cannot keep your appointment. To be fair and respectful to other patients, your appointment may need to be rescheduled if you arrive more than 15 minutes late. Our office staff will assist you with rescheduling if necessary.

Q: Will there be a copay for every visit?
A: Depending on your insurance, a copayment may be required. You may contact your insurance company to check if your plan requires that we collect a copayment. Please be prepared to pay your copay at the time of the visit.

Q: Why is it important for one of the physicians from Docs 4 Kidz to be listed as my primary care physician (PCP)?
A: If your insurance requires a PCP and one of our providers is not listed, this may result in the charges being denied by your insurance carrier and you being responsible for the charges for all dates of service.
